Between hanging out and catching up with some of our friends, God gave us an amazing message Sunday morning through Ps. Ken's sermon. And somehow during these short two days, God has made quite clearly to both of us where we need to be in this next little while. It's always so exciting when you realize what the next step is in life. You know how sometimes your outlook on life gets all crummy and bleak because you feel like you've been wandering around the same place over and over again as though you're blind? And then one day you wake up and everything becomes clear and it just all makes sense? I am thoroughly surprised and equally grateful for the peace we have with this call. We had a chance to wind down and reflect on our way home last night. Despite how tired and insanely full we were, it was a plesant talk. I was especially amazed at how calm Cy was and how much in agreement he was with me when I told him what I felt God was calling us to. I can see him worrying about work (or lack-of) and not being able to let go but we both agree that God will provide for us just as He has given us our current jobs here in Edm.
By no means do we have any details figured out at this point. But it was definitely a big sigh of relief knowing we're both on the same page on this. We're not sure exactly when (but it's starting to become more clear) nor do we know how we can pull this off, but that's all part of the excitement. Speaking of not knowing the details, I should really look into booking my ticket for Van. Please have a seat sale soon. I need to go in 2 weeks.
And speaking of 2 weeks. I am indeed very stoked for Breakforth! This week's Sunday service at Southgate was truly inspirational. During their sharing about Urbana, something really hit me. Someone said, "the God who was present with us and transformed us at Urbana is the same God who is present with us here now". And that same God will be present with us when we go to BreakForth! It is that same God who has transformed (and will continue to transform) us, our friends, families and even strangers all over the world! Isn't that something? I think we often forget the times we really feel God's presence and associate them as a one-time-thing - as though it only happens at those "special events" and the impact can only be felt then and there. We often fail to realize that those are only beginnings of the transformation process. My prayer for BreakForth and all those who will be attending is that they will meet that same inspirational and life-changing God there and that they will take the experience home with them so that their transformation will continue to spread to others and carry on.
