Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.

I stumbled upon this sermon outline and felt like it was exactly what I needed to hear. God is so good. Even when everything else doesn't seem to be. This year has been off to a rough start. From being plagued by illness after illness to job insecurities, it's been one heck of a roller coaster ride. And though I may cry out at the unfairness I experience, I know God is just. Through the pain and tears, I'm grateful that God has allowed me to see the blessings which He has so graciously bestow upon me. Afterall, we often do forget that we're unworthy and undeserving in the first place.. at least I do. I am reminded of that remarkable image Bill Hale put up during Walk Through the Bible; the one which shows the process of refining gold. What a great analogy. As I endure more trials and pain, may I be reminded of what the heat and fire represent in God's scheme of things. No pain no gain right?
So here's to a new month (and hopefully a new season - hello Spring, is that you?) I have a feeling this month is going to look up.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will direct your paths.
Proverbs 3, 5-6
